Celebrate '08 - Stampin' Up! National Convention

It's like a 4-day rock concert for stampers!

Well I finally made it to convention, and didn't I pick a good year for my first one?! It's Stampin' Up!'s 20th anniversary, and boy we've come a long way baby! lol There was a lot of celebrating going on, and a lot of chances to look back at the various milestones the company has passed along the way. I went with my sister, who is also my upline, and we had an absolute BLAST. Going anywhere with my sister guarantees me a good time, but going to convention together has to be the most fun and exciting trip I've ever taken. I decided to share some highlights and a few photos of our trip, and also some of the announcements that were made. There was so much to take in and experience that I was a little overloaded most of the time, lol, but I'll try to summarize as much as I can!

Announcements:

Stampin' Up! founder Shelli Gardner has a blog now! She's so cool! Check it out!

Event Announcements: Regionals will be held in Kansas City, MO; Edmonton, Alberta; San Antonio, TX; and Virginia Beach, VA. The Leadership conference will be held in Orlando in January, and the Incentive trip for 2010 will be a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Southern Caribbean!
And finally, Convention 2009 will be held in Salt Lake City August 5th through 8th, 2009! I can hardly wait!!

Here we are on check-in day. We had just picked up our awesome convention bags & were checking out all our goodies. That's me, Denise, & her husband John. He had fun laughing at us 'cause we were so excited! lol

After we picked up our goody bags we got on a tour bus & went to Riverton to tour Stampin' Up! headquarters. It's such a beautiful facility, we want to work there! Even the warehouse is impressive - just imagine, all those stamps & accessories, woohoo!

The three actual convention days were a blur of swapping, exciting news and product giveaways, entertainment, awesome speakers & presentations, inspiring demonstrations, fun make-&-takes and informative classes. It was so cool to see Shelli in person! I wanted to get a picture taken with her but the lines were always a mile long - maybe next year!

The crowds were insane, but it was all part of the excitement. Ronald McDonald came onstage at one point to accept Stampin' Up!'s annual $100,000 contribution. And the awards! Talk about motivation - there are a LOT of demos out there achieving incredible goals. I can hardly wait for Convention 2009, and I hope to walk across that stage!
